Ingredients
  • 2 (10 ounce) cans chunk chicken, drained
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup Ranch dressing
  • ¾ cup hot sauce (like Tabasco)
  • 1½ cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 bunch celery, cleaned and cut into 4 inch pieces (optional)
  • 1 box of crackers or chips

Instructions
  1. Heat chicken and hot sauce in a skillet over medium heat, until heated through.
  2. Stir in cream cheese and ranch dressing. Cook, stirring until well blended and warm.
  3. Mix in half of the shredded cheese, and scoop the mixture into a slow cooker.
  4. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top, cover, and cook on Low setting until hot and bubbly.
  5. Serve with celery sticks and crackers.

Notes
Get this dip started the night before and just refrigerate until about an hour before the party. Pop it in the crockpot and you are good to go! Gluten Free- You can use gluten free crackers or those new Food Should Taste Good Chips, but check the labels on the ranch dressings. They may contain wheat. This would even make a great spread for sandwiches! Hey it’s a 2 for 1!

  1. I have made this before, except not in the crock pot. Now I’m wondering WHY I never made it in the crock pot! LOL

Thanks for linking up to the Slow Cooker Squad’s linky!

  2. Yum!! I have made this dip in the oven but I will have to try your idea and make it in the crockpot – less mess and cooler kitchen. And you are right – that would be great on a sandwich too! Love this stuff, it’s addictive ~ can’t wait to try it in the crock pot! : )

  3. Thanks for the crockpot idea- this is one of my most favorite go to appetizers!

Being from Buffalo, NY (birthplace of the chicken wing!), I use bleu cheese dressing in place of the ranch. It’s a delicious option also! :)
