    Beef roast browned in skillet

This version of the recipe calls for you to brown the outside of your roast in a skillet before putting it in the crockpot. This step only take a few minutes and does give better flavor & texture to the roast when it is done.

However, this step is optional and you could just put the roast in the crockpot if you are short on time.

Place the roast in your crockpot and top with pepperoncini juice, seasonings, butter, and peppers. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until tender. Perfect for while you are at work all day.
