I love having rice with meals. Not only is it healthy but you can flavor it and mix things in to make it unique every day of the week. I love my rice cooker, but in my pre-rice cooker days, this was my go to method for making rice. I always seem to mess it up on the stove, but it comes out perfectly in the crock pot!
- 1 cup rice
- 2 cups water (or broth)
- Rub your slow cooker lightly with 1 tablespoon butter or margarine. Or spray it with non-stick spray.
- Pour in rice, water and salt.
- Cover and cook on High 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
